Teach Grant Application
The application process for the TEACH Grant starts with students filling out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It should be noted that one does NOT have to show “need” as with other federal grants.
Contact the financial aid office at the school where you will be enrolled to find out whether the school participates in the TEACH Grant Program or visit our TEACH Grant Schools page to see participating institutions by state. The institution will be able to tell you about the programs of study at the school that are TEACH-Grant-eligible.
After you determine that the institution does participate in the TEACH Grant and offers a TEACH Grant eligible program of study that you are interested in you will need to complete your TEACH Grant Initial and Subsequent Counseling. This counseling is provided via the U.S. Department of Education. Once you have completed both counseling sessions you will need to complete your Agreement To Serve (ATS) form. This can also be done at the U.S. Dept. of Education website.
